Ok, here we are standing on the corner of this Plaza xxx, with La Rambla on my right, and looking ahead to where Hard Rock Cafe is ...
Click on photo to enlarge it and you can see the HR Cafe, with all the taxis waiting in front of it.
On my left, across the Plazza is the huge shopping centre called xxx (I've got the name somewhere, be back later).
Interesting inside, with some high quality Barcelona (read Gaudi) souveniers.
As well as the cheapo ones, of course.
And some most beautiful mosaic bric a brac.
Eyes right and there's the huge roadsign La Rambla.
This is the most famous street in Barcelona that is visited by practically every tourist to Barcelona.
Wide pavements on both sides, and a wide centre divider with trees, yet paved and pedestrianised.
We walk right, with a last look left, at the souvenier kiosk with the 'Hola's on its red 'halo'. Same kiosk is beyond the street sign in photo above.
By the way, all my photos are uncropped, or at most minimally, as I want to retain every little detail in every photo to be scrutinised by myself and those visitors to this blog who may wish to enjoy them.

Beautiful relief work on the buildings; beautiful windows, railings. Why can't they build such buildings nowadays?
That's a fountain, with multiple taps.
It's like a park except that there's no grass lawn and shrubbery.
Lots of trees though, and park benches.
And lots of buskers; like in Convent Gardens, London.
Our hotel, the Hotel Royal Rambla is just ahead. Its vertical sign is discernible if you click to enlarge the photo.
It's a very comfy hotel and value for money. Pity, it seems I've forgotten to snap a few shots of it.
Still on La Rambla. We did not walk its entire length; too long for us oldies.
See that side street? Many of them off La Rambla.
They are loaded with shops, and lead to more shopping streets, or cosy little neighbourhood plazas.
A portrait photo of a tall busker. Just to break the monotony.
And another side street there.
Then, we came upon a section that was home to flower kiosks, small pets shops, and bird shops.
It was more crowded in the evening and at night.
The restaurants on the street were always crowded. Those on the side streets too.
And then there's this market on one of the side streets.
We checked it out of course, as we do practically every fresh produce market that we came upon in our travels.
No regrets.
